General Regulations
- All persons using the pool and other recreational facilities do so at their own risk. The Mil-Bur Club is not and will not be responsible for any accident, injury, loss or damage.
- Members personally sponsor their guests and have full responsibility for their adherence to established regulations, applicable laws, and community standards of deportment and decorum.
- The cost of any damage to the property of the Mil-Bur Club will be charged to, and shall be paid by, the member(s) having the responsibility for the damage.
- Park use hours for group games, picnics, etc., are 12:00 Noon to 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 12:00 Noon to 11:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The park must be vacated, except for necessary transit to or from the piers, between 11:30 p.m. and sunrise.
- Abusive and profane language is not to be tolerated on the Club's premises. Rowdy behavior is not acceptable at any time. No loud music at anytime.
- Alcohol is only permitted in the presence of a Mil-Bur homeowner.
- No dogs or other pets are allowed in the pool area or in the park nearest the pool, except in transit to or from the pier.
- The picnic area must be cleaned up after each use. Resident and their quests are responsible for bagging their trash and moving it to the curb for pickup. For everyone's safety, the use of glass containers should be carefully restricted. Trash receptacles will be used to dispose of waste. Cigarettes will be disposed of in sand cans or ashtrays.
- The volleyball net will be taken down and kept by a Mil-Bur homeowner designated by the Board to do so. The net may be signed out and used by any Mil-Bur homeowner, who will then be responsible for activities at the volleyball court until he or she has returned it.
- All injuries which occur on the premises must be immediately reported to the lifeguard, if on duty; otherwise to a member of the Club's Operating Committee.
- Overnight camping is permitted only in the Supplemental Recreation Area across the stream beyond the flood plain. Overnight camping in the park (adjacent to pool) is prohibited.Complaints about operation or abuses of the Recreation Areas (Pool, Park, Pier, or Supplemental Rec. Area) must be made immediately to a member of the Club's Operating Committee, or if not available, to any Board member. Abuses will not be tolerated and violators will lose their privileges in accordance with the By-Laws' provisions.
Specific Pool Rules & Regulations
The following rules and regulations are for the protection and benefit of all users of the pool facilities, and are designated to assure safe and sanitary operation of the pool consistent with maximum enjoyment. Deliberate failure to comply with these rules and regulations shall be considered sufficient cause for suspension of pool privileges pursuant to the By-Laws of the Club.
- All persons using the pool must obey all posted rules & regulations, and all commands from the lifeguard on duty.
- The maximum capacity of the pool is twenty-nine (29) people for each lifeguard present, per Anne Arundel County Regulations. The lifeguard on duty is authorized to limit the number of swimmers to 29 by requiring any swimmer to leave the pool.
- All daily guests must be registered by the member bringing them. No more than ten (10) persons may use the pool during normal operating hours as the guests of one member family. Daily guest fees will be established annually by the Pool Committee. Members will be billed for any balance due at the end of the season.
- Pool Members will be allowed 15 day guests free per season.
- The pool facility may be reserved for exclusive use any evening in season between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. The cost of reserving the pool will be on a per-evening basis, and will be set annually by the Pool Committee Chairman. The Pool Committee, as part of the Operating Committee, is also authorized to grant members exclusive use of the park's picnic facilities after 2:00 p.m. on the day that the member has reserved the pool for the evening, except that at least one table and one grill must be left for other members' use. There is no added cost for such use of the Park. Arrangements for scheduling will be established annually by the Pool Committee Chairman.

- Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times unless the child passes the basic swimming test.
- Children who are 8 years of age and/or completed second grade are eligible to take the swim test given by the lifeguard. The test consists of swimming 2 lengths of the pool and treading water for 2 minutes. The swim test will be given as soon as possible by the lifeguard.
- All bather must shower before entering the pool. If sun lotion is used, the bather must take a shower before re- entering the pool.
- No "horseplay" in the showers! Do not waste soap or take extended showers. Pool privileges may be lost for several days for each and every infraction.
- Bathers using bobby pins, hair clips, etc., must wear bathing caps in the pool.
- No glass containers of any kind are permitted in the pool area.
- Admission may be refused to anyone wearing bandages or having open wounds, colds, infections or any contagious disease (impetigo, etc.)
- Spitting and nose blowing are prohibited in the pool.
- Ample sanitary facilities are available and the pool is not to be used as a substitute.
- Only one person is allowed on the diving board at one time. There will be no general swimming in the diving area while the board is in use. The diver is to make sure no one is in the diving range before jumping off board. The lifeline separating the swimming and diving areas will
not be used as a plaything.
- Swimming aids, balls, tubes, etc., may be used only with the permission of the lifeguard. This permission may be withdrawn at any time as conditions of the pool change.
- No running or "horseplay" in the pool area!
- Babies using pool must have fitted training pants with pull on vinyl pants. No diapers.
- The lifeguard shall be responsible for, and have final and conclusive authority for, enforcing these rules and regulations. In addition, he/she is authorized to restrict any action on the part of pool users, which in his/her judgment is hazardous to the health and safety of others, or destructive to the property. For disciplinary purposes, he/she shall have the authority to expel any person from the pool and recommend further action to the pool committee chairman.
- No member has the authority to direct the pool lifeguard concerning the operation of pool facilities. This is the function of the pool committee as instructed by the directors. Suggestions for changes and improvements in these rules, or in the operation of the pool facilities are invited, but should be in the form of a written communication to the chairman.
- Regular hours of operation shall be established annually by the pool committee.
- Admission to the pool:
